How to Build an AI Agent for Your Business (No Coding Needed)

To build an AI agent, pick one narrow, repeatable job, write it down as a job description, and build it in small steps with an AI app builder: a server-side AI connection with step and cost limits, read-only tools, your business documents, action tools that wait for your approval, a trigger, and a log of every step. The first three prompts
Create a new web app called [Agent Name] for [Business Name] with an owner login. Add a Job sheet page that saves: goal, who it serves, what it may read, what it may do, what always needs my approval, what it must never do, and what done looks like. Don't add AI features yet.
Add a server-side agent loop. Store the AI API key in secret settings, never in browser code. Use the job sheet as the instructions. Stop after 10 steps, stop at $[0.50] of AI cost per run and $[5] per day, and log every step to a runs table I can view on a Dashboard page.

The AI model itself doesn't change when your agent runs. The agent improves because you improve four things around it:

- Knowledge: new prices, policies and templates go into its documents.
- Instructions: you tighten the job description when you spot a pattern.
- Tools: you add a tool when it keeps needing something it can't reach.
- Tests: saved example tasks with the right answer. Rerun them after every change to prove it helped.
- Earned freedom: each action type starts in shadow mode (it only logs what it would do), moves to approval, and goes automatic only after a strong track record.
Keep it safe
